Job description
Quality Management:
Develop and implement QA/QC policies, procedures, and standards.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor adherence to quality plans.
Supervision:
Lead and supervise the QA/QC team, providing guidance and support.
Assign tasks and monitor the performance of QA/QC inspectors and technicians.
Train and mentor team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
Inspection and Testing:
Oversee the inspection of materials, equipment, and construction activities.
Ensure all testing is conducted according to project requirements and standards.
Review and approve inspection and test plans (ITPs).
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of inspections, tests, and quality assurance activities.
Prepare and submit QA/QC reports, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action reports (CARs).
Ensure all project documentation is properly filed and accessible.
Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
Participate in project meetings to discuss quality concerns and provide recommendations.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies regarding quality-related matters.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in QA/QC processes and recommend changes.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances.
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the project team.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
Ensure QA/QC activities are conducted in compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Report any unsafe conditions or practices related to quality assurance and control.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and regulations.
Experience with inspection and testing methodologies.
Proficient in the use of quality management software and tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001) is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Based in Ras al Khaimah, UAE, with potential site visits and fieldwork.
Regular interaction with various project stakeholders.
