Job description
Prepare and conduct a risk assessment to enforce preventative measures
Check if all the employees are acting in adherence to rules and regulations
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety
Respond immediately to safety incidents/accidents ensuring risk mitigation strategies are
implemented on time
Support the incident management process in investigations to determine causes and handle
worker’s compensation claims
Conduct site safety orientations and training as required
Complete and provide site safety reports as required
Skills & Requirements:
Proven experience as a Safety Officer
Minimum3years experience in health and safety in the construction Industry
In-depth knowledge of legislation and procedures
Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
Proficient in MS Office/ G-suit
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Demonstrated competence in areas of safety, people management and project execution
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Biosafety management, or similar
Certificate in occupational health and safety
Certified in Nebosh/ and Iosh is preferred
Fluent in English and Arabic
