Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple MEP and fit-out projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet high standards in quality, time, and cost.
Planning & Execution: Oversee the development and execution of project plans, timelines, and budgets. Monitor progress and ensure alignment with contractual commitments.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are clearly communicated and achieved. Provide regular updates on project status.
Team Management: Lead and mentor project teams, including project managers, engineers, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Financial Control: Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost control mechanisms. Ensure all financial targets are met, including profit margins.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery, including technical, financial, and operational risks.
Contract Management: Manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Resolve disputes, negotiate variations, and ensure contractual compliance.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to local regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all MEP and fit-out works are carried out to the highest quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Reporting: Provide detailed project reports to senior management and clients on project milestones, risks, costs, and other key metrics.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in MEP and fit-out project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Regional Experience: Proven experience in managing projects in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Familiarity with Saudi building codes and regulations.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction methods, and fit-out processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is a plus.
Negotiation & Problem-Solving: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes and solve complex problems effectively.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is essential.
Skills:
Knowledge of Lean Construction and Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience in green building certifications (LEED, BREEAM) is desirable.
Familiarity with smart building technologies and sustainability practices.
